As a tradition of Den Planet, it ensures that atleast 50 trees are plantedannually . This year hasn’t been an exception as Den Planet planted 78 fruit trees at the Eloumdem neighborhood Yaounde. This important exercise was organised and done by students on internship to Den Planet and some volunteers. These trees were planted using organic rich manure prepared before the actual tree planting date. This tradition is still in its quest of conserving the environment and mitigating climate change.
The planting of trees is very crucial in mitigating climate change. This initiative also supports biodiversity conservation while promoting ecological balance. Habitats and food sources for some wildlife is assured, soil degradation is minimized and the conservation of water is maximized.
