Summer With Youths: Growing a Greener Future

As part of our Summer Flagship Programme, a highly successful tree-planting exercise took place in Mbalmayo on July 26th, bringing together over 300 youths from the PCC and the Forestry School of Mbalmayo, in collaboration with Den Planet.

The activity focused on restoring degraded land and promoting long-term environmental sustainability. More than 70 ornamental and fruit trees were planted—an important step in addressing land degradation and food insecurity, two urgent challenges in the region.

Youth participation remains a cornerstone of our work. Their involvement not only strengthens community engagement but also nurtures a culture of environmental stewardship. The trees planted will continue to provide long-lasting ecological benefits by improving biodiversity, contributing to cleaner air, and supporting healthier ecosystems.

This partnership between Den Planet, the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC), and the Forestry School of Mbalmayo showcases the power of collaboration in driving impactful environmental action. It sets a strong precedent for future initiatives aimed at safeguarding our environment.
